I'd Tried Everything to Overcome My Son's ADHD
Having a child with special needs is not easy and over the years my son had been given many different labels.
Four years ago ADHD was the label of the moment and as any concerned parent would, I sought to find anything that I felt could help with his symptoms.
I'm very open to alternative therapies and tried him with Reiki, EFT, Homeopathy to name just a few. I had pretty much come to a dead end and really didn't know where to turn.
An assessment from a chiropractor revealed that my son didn't have ADHD and the clinic introduced me to the Complete Lifestyle programme to run alongside the treatment being offered by the chiropractor.
Gradually I discovered the positive impact on my son's body as I removed toxins like dairy, wheat and aspartame and added Omega 3, Acidophilus and lots and lots of fresh fruits and veg.
My son's school started to notice a difference in his behaviour and soon so did most people that new him.
One day I suddenly realised that whilst I had been making sure that he had been getting all these great things in his diet I had totally neglected myself and not even taken into consideration that I would also benefit from all this stuff.
Wellness isn't just about what you're putting into your body, it's also about moving and thinking your way to better health. You look at your values and it's great when you start to think in a positive way.
